Late Autumn (1960)

Spotted this timeless looking leather jacket and black rimmed glasses dude. ^

Empty rooms, uninhabited landscapes, objects (rocks, trees, tea kettles), textures (shadows on shoji, the grain of tatami, rain dripping), play a large part in Ozu’s world, and the extreme simplicity of this view is matched by a like simplicity of construction once the film has begun.
— Donald Richie

I watched some of Ozu's movies before I started blogging and forgot about them until recently. Great vintage Japanese eye candy. These movies are really long, slow paced, and detail oriented, which is why I posted that quote above, but it makes it really easy to take screen caps.
