Born Free, 1966
Anything about the special relationships humans can have with animals gets me all feely. Based from the real experience of Joy Adamson, it tells the story of a couple who decide to free the the lioness they raised into the wild so she won't be forced to live in a zoo. The actors, real life couple Virginia Mckenna (one of my favorites) and Bill Travers, were so brave to film scenes with a grown lioness!
