Thanks for sharing these screencaps. I watched this movie a month or two ago and felt the same way. The brunette (Abby?) was much more interesting than Gidget, and her clothes were a million times better. Plus, I couldn't stand Gidget's bouffant/long ponytail hairdo. Definitely not my favorite '60s hairstyle!
Oh, I love Deborah Walley (mostly because I'm a redhead myself). I grew up watching this movie and still love it so much. The men are so handsome and I adore the dance number.
