I always wish I could time travel just to go shopping. I'd do other stuff, but, you know, shopping is still on the list. That's why I love this Sears Christmas catalog archive. The cheap prices kill me! It's also a good reference for trying to date vintage items.

$8 dresses!

  1. I remember all this, as a child my mother worked at Sears in Baton Rouge, La. I've even seen pictures of her kitchen on Pinterest. Our house was Spanish style, split level gravel roof. Kitchen was all Formica topped, with dark cabinets, dark paneling , it even had a window unit in kitchen. Stove hood & stove top range copper color & copper colored oven built into wall. kitchen sink white ceramic. When my mother passed away she still had the Formica top white with gold flecks in it, in the kitchen. And the white sink, & the same copper handles on all kitchen cabinets. I dearly loved that house, but she couldn't afford the up keep of this house, so it was sold by me in 2004.
