This is one of my favorite Doris Day movies. I first saw it when it was released in 1954. I was awestruck by the cinemascope screen and the stereo sound system in the theater. The opening number, 'Superstition Song' was awesome in the way it was filmed. The songs were great, the casting was great and the plot was four performers getting into trouble, thanks to Phil Silvers. I became of fan of Doris way back in 1953 when I saw the movie 'By The Light Of the Silvery Moon.' I wanted to take her home to Mom, I was 13 and in love! Although the movie did not get good reviews, and Doris did not want to be part of it because she thought the plot was weak, she agreed to do it. We corresponded from 1983 till 2016. I've got an album of all her cards and letters thru the years. I miss her very much. R.I.P Doris! Len Urso. 2021.
