Love the stack of books on the mantel and there are pumpkins. So seasonal!

“You read something which you thought only happened to you, and you discover that it happened 100 years ago to Dostoyevsky. This is a very great liberation for the suffering, struggling person, who always thinks that he is alone. This is why art is important. Art would not be important if life were not important, and life is important.”
— James Baldwin, Conversations with James Baldwin

I'm a pretty picky reader. I won't finish anything unless I'm enjoying it and I've been abandoning lots of duds lately which is a bummer. I picked this one up from the library today which looks promising.

Great quote! I'm the same with books, life is too short and there are too many books out there to read to be wasting my time with one that I don't enjoy.

Love your blog by the way :).

I agree. I used to force myself to finish something I didn't like, but I'm not in college anymore and I'm not gonna bother.

Thanks!
